The Largest Marketing Case Competition in Eastern Canada
This bilingual competition challenges delegates to show their marketing intelligence, ingenuity, and their spirit. Students who compete at HM have the opportunity to do so in one of four categories: academic, sports, social, or participation. Each team is essential in creating Telfer’s impact in the world of marketing and in bringing home success.
This case focuses on mandates that push participants to create innovative strategies for businesses to reach their future customers.
This case focuses on customer engagement as a form of marketing and combines the company’s product/services with ingenuity to produce captivating experiences for customers.
The strategic case consists of mandates focusing on producing long-term visions for sponsors in terms of their industry and position. Participants will be expected to include the 4 P’s of marketing in their case.
International marketing seeks to analyze the constraints that a company may face in the context of globalization. Taking into account global operational differences, similarities, as well as opportunities in order to achieve global objectives.
In this case, participants create their own agency a week before the competition. Competitors will also design a media communications plan for their agency that will respond to the needs of the case.
The quiz category tests participants' knowledge of all marketing-related content. Questions asked during quiz involve knowledge of logos, slogans, and much more according to the subject choices of the teams. This category is best fitted for highly competitive individuals.
This case challenges delegates to use their critical thinking skills in digital marketing to attract engagement with the sponsor’s business.
The surprise case tests candidates’ versatility and knowledge of marketing. The case will be given under a surprise category, meaning all participants in this role must have strong knowledge in a wide range of marketing strategies. All resources are allowed to complete the mandate of this case, and participants are given advanced time to work on the case before the competition to ensure high-caliber results.
